In general, I agree with you, Joe, but what else do you call people still waving signs at “tea parties” that say “Obama, show us the birth certificate” a year after he’s been sworn in? That is not simply opposing his policies, that’s believing the world is flat, and that qualifies as worthy of “nutball”.
Yes, dibs, I”have a right to be effing mad at my party. They’ve blown it too many times. They just don’t know how to play for keeps they way you guys do.”
Totally agree, Slopey, and with your earlier post. It’s amazing how the Dems constantly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I figured after 1993-1994, they actually would have learned something this time around. But, nope, that was too much to hope for.
And I agree with all the pundits who’ve been saying they did NOT explain their health care bill. I watch Morning Joe, NBC Nightly News and the PBS Newshour most days, and often have CNN on in the background, plus I read the Times, and I still have no clue what’s in the health care bill. Except that Nebraska gets a pass on Medicare cost increases (or something to that effect) in exchange for Ben Nelson’s vote and Mary Landrieu could be had for a mere $300 million.
“Chicken, I know, that’s whay it’s so frustrating. Should be just plugging it in, connecting the ethernet cable from the PC to the router and connect the router internet cable to the modem. I’ll call them tonight. I can just return the modem and get a different brand if the tech support can’t help.

Trouble-shooting mode:
Is the problem (1) connecting the computer to the router, or (2) the router to the internet, or (3) both?
You can check (2) in “admin” mode. Don’t connect the router to the internet, just connect the laptop to the router.
Open a web-browser and type in the IP-address for the router (should be in your documentation). This should open a configuration page that you can play with the settings.
Kens, went with an HP with Intel Duo Core Processor, 3GB Ram, 320GB Hard Drive, 15.6″ display. Nothing fancy but definitely good enough for our simple needs. Good enough assuming I can get the fucking router to work, that is!

Is it too early to have a Turkey Sandwich?

Chicken, thanks! Will give that a try.
Sounds like a solid laptop eventhough I am not crazy about HPs. Is it heavy? I am guessing you paid around $500 for it?

Rob, are you going to bring your cards?
