etson, but the best chinese food on western hemisphere is in Toronto so it aint all bad. besides, that’s reason for you to drag your behind back to BK more often to drink with us
Etson, that must have been why I saw people passed out in their own vomit in the gutters in front of pubs in Camden Yards on Friday and Saturday nights. I’ve never seen such binge drinking in my life, and I went to a college that has produced some serious alcoholic over-achievers.
Anyone here watch Brothers & Sisters? Dave? Ron Rifkin plays “Uncle Saul”, and he’s gay, and on this week’s episode he joined the TV equivalent of SilverDaddies!
“etson, does your UK citizenship grant you some perks in Canada?”
None, other than seeing the Queen on the money.
Also, re Canadians & drinking. Thought there would be more pubs in Toronto (& what there were seemed to be owned by chains). Maybe I went to the wrong parts so far or I am just spolied by having lived in the UK and NYC.
Benson, For my first couple of years working (1995-98) in London it was totally normal & accepted to drink at lunchtime, especially later in the week. Then as the British banks & brokers were taken over by US / German / Swiss banks the policies changed right away. Even the remaining British ones changed policy.

Plenty of queens here; yourself included.
