I just cleaned it again and applied more vaseline. It’s looking considerably better.

Legion, I busted my lip (OUCH!) and was trying to take care of the cut since it’s on the inside of my lip…was curious about what was safe to use in the mouth.

…sounds about right with water and peroxide.
gentian violet is the old standby to stave off mouth infections since it stays in place like an ink.
