Snappy,
re Haiti. I don’t think the two things are all that inconsistent. For me, it’s a matter of giving money to private relief agencies in response to a specific catastrophic event.
I don’t think this has anything much to do with advocating a particular US *govt* policy or saying that the US govt is automatically responsible for the day-to-day welfare of Haitians, or even necessarily for relief efforts. I am fine with the US govt helping out as it can in extreme cases like this, of course.
You’re not getting off so easy, mister CGar. Go to the antiques site dave posted- there are a few things I’ve put on the shopping list. And I hired a contractor to build a fancy extension so MM won’t have to live in the garage.
Biff I resent that comment. I own the biggest house with a cellar for my goat wine on Remsen. Bought it from some Canadian who had 6 beers and got too curious and moved to Bed Stuy or Mill Basin.
But walking home each night along Clark or Pierrepont or Montague, inevitably one would have to turn north and signal to all the losers nearby on the street that you’re not quite home yet and then continue until your companion gradually becomes aware that…could it be?…yes it could!!!.., that you live on Cranberry Street!
I would just walk into a bar and stretch my arms and yawn, “What am I going to do with all this house on Cranberry Street? Can anyone answer me?”
I STILL don’t have HGTV to look at sandstone or soapstone countertops! :o(. When are they going to negotiate already damn it!
My goat has been requesting to watch yard crashers and I can’t even provide him that. :o(

Sandstone is nice…saw it on tv the other day. Never seen it in person though.

Mm, I’m not sure if you saw my question to you in HOTD.
Is there a listing of the St. Marks House you mentioned? I did a search for it and didn’t find anything.
