no. that is NOT the solution. the projects DO serve a purpose. but they should be temporary, not forever! i have no problem with anyone who lives in them, i have a problem with them being generational housing.
also, if we knocked down the projects in nyc, we systematically destroy THOUSANDS of neighborhing cities, communities, and towns in one fell swoop. look what happened when they destroyed the big projects in chicago!!! the crime was spread everywhere and destroyed formerly nice cities and stuff.
leave the projects as they are, because people do need to live in them, but put an 21 year cap on living there, and no one gets to hand down their apartemtns to their kids.
