I saw the Okeefe exhibit Sunday, got right in (10 min wait). I agree it was a vrey well planned exhibit. Saw many of the pieces I have seen before when MOMA did an exhibit shortly after her death. I was disappointed though that some of her abstractions from later in her life were not there. The early stuff was amazing and a rare treat.
Anyone get into Kadinsky? I tried but the line was around the block so we decided to get some food and drinks at my friends usual hangout, Finnigan’s Wake in UES. So a few beers later, I wasn’t as disappointed that I didn’t get to see Kadinsky.

funny and true story,
I was doing a housecall in Bensonhurst years back.
The elderly mother wasn’t doing well and needed treatment
for a problem which, like most human ailments, wasn’t particularly nice.
So her grown up son is sitting in the living room the whole time, in his 50’s, wearing a wifebeater with pajama bottoms, unshaven on a ratty old recliner scarfing down some kind of sandwich.
he doesn’t say a word to me the entire time. apparently, even a perfunctory “hey” was too much for this guy.
so, out of nowhere, between gulps of his drink he snorts;
“I would never do what you do!” and not in a nice way, but in a tone that managed to sound imperious. lol
I slowly turned to the guy and looked him in the eyes,
I said;
“you’re sitting here in pajamas at 1:30 PM in your mother’s apartment, watching TJ Hooker, eating her food at age 55 and you’re looking down on me for treating her problem?”
“I would never do what you do!!”

Legion, that woman probably passed away and the son has kept her body in the apartement and is cashing her checks.

too much salt increases blood pressure and can lead to headaches as well.

I had roast chicken Saturday night.
“preliminary calculations indicate a good turnout to roast chicken though.”
We’re roasting chicken? Ok, I guess that’s healthier than frying him.
