  1. I know, but by then the damn thing is usually broken or so scungey that I’m ready to buy a new one. I used to buy really super cheap ones, but they made too much noise and got REALLY gross.

  2. Argh! Granules? What really scares me about those things is that once they stop making that particular humidifier, your chances of finding the replacement parts, even directly through the company, are slim to none.

  3. Oh, here it is…granules, that’s what I got…

AIR-O-SWISS offers two options for replacing the demineralization cartridge: Replace the whole cartridge with a new part (model AOS 7531) or use replacement granules (model AOS 7533 Refill Granules 3-Pack) to extend the life of the cartridge.

  4. The main cartridge had a sort of weird yellow tiny plastic thingy’s and I do that once a season. Since I use the humidifier for about 3-4 months. I think that’s ok. I empty it at the end of the season and put in fresh at the beginning.

The silver thingy needs to be replaced. I’m pretty sure I’ve never replaced it in uh, a couple years! LOL!! [I am the laziest person on the planet!] I don’t remember how much it was because I bought a package of three when I bought the machine 3 years ago.
