I usually buy the blue box, but truth be told, whatever is on sale is what I’ll buy these days. My brand loyalty has gone down the drain on most products. My last hold-outs are jam, pickle relish, ketchup…I think that’s it.
The filters are so expensive. That’s why I spent the extra money for this one. The humidifier still works but I just don’t know what the moisture level in the room is. I’m going to write the company and see what they say. Maybe there’s a way to reset the system.
A washable filter? Oooooh! Perhaps I will look into that. I have to be careful though…if I get lazy and don’t clean/change a filter, I wind up having an asthma attack.
I think the best humidifier is just a bowl of water near the heat source. I gave up on humidifiers because I was spending too much money on replacement filters. Now, just a bowl of water and a hygrometer keep me happy.
Those spice packets are a pretty good blend though. I’m the yellow box not the blue box girl. Forget which manu. makes which. I usually shake the green Tabasco over my tacos once I make them though. Just mine, since not everyone likes that.
It was a pricey Bionaire. I LOVED it when it was working. The reading automatically starts out at 26 and you can see it rise up as you have the humidifier working. You set what you want the end point to be say 50% humidity.
The reason I really like it is that it also has a gauge that tells yoiu when to clean the filter. You don’t need to buy a new one you just have to wash this one out with a anti microbial rinse stuff.
I’m super bland with my tacos…I use ground turkey instead of beef and then just use the packet they include with the shells. I don’t do the sauce part. Just meat and cheese. Tons of cheese.

“Cumin, chilis?”
THL, I added a bit more of both.
Chili pwd., cumin, oregano, garlic. I added a little salt, too.
