Snappy, hollow core doors are so cheesy, and really are hollow, I don’t think you’d be happy. You would have to take the wood that makes up the top off, and wedge it into your open top, and glue in in.
How about an old, solid wood door? They are often thrown out in dumpsters or the trash. What size do you need? I’ll keep an eye out.
Snappy, you could cut a hollow door in half but you would need to fill in the hole to maintain the structural integrity (would actually end up stronger than the original). Best to have the cut part at the bottom because it’s always going to look rough.
If you cut a hollow core door there won’t be any “frame” at the point you cut it, just a space between the two luan panels. You could glue a piece in there to make it structurally firm.
DH, you love the black keys!

He’s not – I like to wind him up about it.
It actually is pretty nice but not cheap (not outrageously expensive but not an everyday spot either).

Oh, and I went to Bar Tano. I can’t say it was that great. Good, low-key atmosphere, but the food really wasn’t too tasty.

Chicken, I’ve cut MDF before…terrible mess, and yes, mask is necessary. MDF is a pain, but oh so cheap.
