Pete….I had that very same electric problem about a year ago. There are two positive feeds coming in and one blew out in the street.
Because of that your circuits on one side of the breaker box don’t work.
Determine whether they have fixed it so that you have 220v. I SUSPECT YOU DO NOT and therefore things like the electric oven or an electric dryer will not work properly and will be damaged if you try to run them.
I hate it when stores sell expired stuff. There are way too many in my hood that do that regularly. We need a grocery store review section on here. I think that would serve a greater purpose than restaurant reviews.
jessi- son’t you hate that? I got some organic greens a few weeks ago- threw it out. The greens on the outside looked great. The inside ones were a slimy mess.
so am at weekend house for most of the long wkend..
and get call saturday afternoon from upstairs tenant that 1/2 of her apt is without electric and also public hallways..other tenant and my apt seem fine…she tried resetting all circuit breakers…all seem fine…
Of course upsets my weekend and don’t know what to do..
She calls ConEd. Hours later they did come over. Said was problem from street from corrosion from salt, etc. Did some temp fix inside house so whole bldg has power.
Sometime they will fix from street and then need access again to inside. When that will happen did not say.
Not sure what total story is.
This is after xmas morning where I hit top of overhead garage door and ruined it with car (at wkend house). And will cost $$$$ to fix as one panel twisted. Company charges $85 per hour service call from time they leave their place of business 45 minutes away.
weekend sucked.
DH, that’s not nice! Sometimes a girl needs to eat 1/4 of a cake in one sitting.
“I went to the new Union Market in Cobble Hill yesterday”
how are their cakes?
So sorry, Pete! Maybe you’ll all the bad stuff out of the way this year and next year will be much better!

True…he ripped apart one screen already. Maybe I could remove the screens and insert thin lucite panels in its place?
Hey Etson, welcome over to the Dark Side 🙂

Can I also add that I’m extremely proud of The Egg – when she heard the story, she said she would give some of her presents to the little girl.

That is definitely impressive and it is also a sign that she has been raised right. Kudos to you and the Mrs.
