Snaps – You absolutely have to have 2 hinges. Why not leave the whole hollow-core door but cut out a window – it could be quite large since the cardboard in the middle of those things is just corrugated triangles & only helps keep the panels from warping. Scribe the cut before you do it – it’ll help keep the ply from shuddering. Take one side off, pull out the cardboard & then cut the other side. Fill it w/ plexi or lucite – you can just glue it on. Hari is going to be able to get higher regardless of whether he grows.

Thanks etson. They are in a shelter now. Hopefully they will get new accomodation in the next week or so. It would have been better if we’d known before the eviction so they wouldn’t have had so much disruption but I guess pride stops people asking for help sometimes.
“Chicken, how did you meet this single mother? You did a great thing!
Is she looking for more help?

Thanks stevie. I’ve not met her but Mrs Chicken’s best friend is one of her teachers. I think they are set now (other people have also heard the story and helped) but I’ll keep you updated.
Can I also add that I’m extremely proud of The Egg – when she heard the story, she said she would give some of her presents to the little girl.
Thanks guys!
I’m not yet sure whether to be a bitter renter or a bitter bubble buyer for the NYC place! Don’t have to make a decision on that for another couple of months as I still have the lease on my current place & no point breaking it.
etson, how long will you still be at the old firm??

I’m guessing mid-Feb, jessi. Timing depends on paperwork a bit but definitely no earlier than start of Feb.
Hooray for Etson!
Congrats, etson.
Etson, congrats on your decision. Glad to hear that you’ll still have an address in nyc. When do you leave? We must plan accordingly.
