I have a story from the flip side. We had our progressive block party dinner on Saturday night so Sunday while everyone was sleeping in and for the most part quite hungover one of our neighbors went and shoveled almost all of the houses on our side of the block. By 10 A.M. when we started to stir I looked out and Ta-Da all of our snow was gone. I really do love (most of) my neighbors.
lol, not to worry,
it’s like Spy Vs. Spy between them and us.
this moron once knocked over a mortar column at the edge of my property and didn’t take responsibility for it!
even though, his are the only cars that could have possibly done it.
no matter, I repaired the bricks….with reinforced concrete and steel rebar 4 feet into the ground, knowing the next time it happened, the mortar and bricks wouldn’t be so forgiving…
as expected, the moron backed out of his driveway one summer, half baked from a party he was having. All I heard from inside was the sound of a large metal scraping…something like the subway as it shreiks into the station.
I stepped outside casually to see both of his car doors on his his newish maxima scraped to the frame. And my masonry work standing tall. lol.
The idiot was so drunk he was laughing about it. I said to him and his guests, “I guess you can take care of it from here then.”
I slowly inspected my wall and left him struggling to open his car door with his party guests to figure it all out.
😉

there’s a red light district in sunset park??!
THL, that’s the kind of thing I would do – except that I would use a hosepipe, and connect it to their neighbour on the other side and leave the dripping hose out as “evidence”. Then I’d get me a nice cup of coffee and sit out on the porch with a paper…
THL, any size available, I’ll take it. I can either eat more to fill it out or starve myself and do finger exercises to make it fit!
Snappy, Harry Winston is a block away from my office.
You know about the upstairs “entertainment room,” don’t you???
THL, how nice! Sounds like a good ‘hood and group of peeps.
gee, you guys can be devious…
…I like that.
Sure, no problem Snappy. We just need to know what ring size.
For any of you who are waiting until the last minute to get my holiday gift, feel free to pick up this little bauble for me:
