  1. Hard as it is to believe, but I’m being FORCED to stop working and start drinking in 6 minutes. The entire legal department is about to show up for their holiday party starting at 4:30 and my office is an island in the middle of the 2 main conference rooms where the party is being held. They’re insisting that the adjacent compliance groups join in, and, well, it would just be rude to turn them down.

  2. “They do have them, for now. The MTA is talking about taking them away. That’s several thousand dollars per year, per child for many lower income families.”

The MTA has a plan. Not only will they raise money from school travel, think of how many kids will try and sneak on the train and get busted every day! At $100 per pop. Then many won’t pay, so they get busted again and now they have a warrant out. This is a plan of genius, and just what we need to stimulate the criminal justice system in a time of declining crime rates. This plan alone will prevent layoffs of correction officers, will allow us to re-open the Brooklyn House of Detention, and hire an entire new class of police officers. Brilliant I say!

  3. quote:
His health care plan could prove popular to many who don’t have it if it passes. The economy could bounce back faster than many are anticipating. He could successfully wind down both of the wars he inherited. And he has more than three years ahead of him to do this.
