“yeah i dont get denton’s point. if it’s not their job, it’s not their job. why dont you invite the sheeted homeless lady to YOUR house than?”
rob, as usual you show your ignorance. In this case, there is a specific statute that requires the city to transport homeless people to a shelter, if the city has declared a cold emergency, see what snappy wrote. Only someone from NJ would take a cop’s word when he says it’s ‘not my job’.
Hey, Donald, I meant to post in the MyHome thread but only posted in the OT that it sounds like an interesting concept. For what’s it worth, this was my comment:
“etson, I think the idea needs to be fleshed out more than in the thread, but the general idea of buying into a building up front (assuming you have the cash) in exchange for a discounted purchase price and decision-making on layout, fixtures, finishes, etc., with a “developer” fully responsible for construction, intrigues me.
Snappy, that’s a terrible story, people are just afraid, but afraid of what I’m never sure. A phone call is no skin off anyone’s ass. To lend a hand for a second, my g*d.
Times article on reporter who interviewed several in Amsterdam and every lunchtime he mentioned milk & sandwiches. I thought only the computer nerds did that

Speaking for yourself, of course! ; )
Not implying you were a nerd, snappy!! milk at HOME is ok, at lunch with co-workers…not.

CMU, nerds have milk with things like baloney sandwiches. Milk with pb&j is perfectly acceptable 🙂
“Cgar i never get sick of it there. i also went to smith. say hello to your mutha fa me.”
Wish I could, blowfish, but she’s no longer with us. She graduated in ’54, and I only remember her living in Morrow House.
“Securities firms and hedge funds couldn’t participate, as they could under cap-and-trade legislation passed by the House in June”
Yeah dibs this really makes sense. Maybe we can use ebay?
“Because they…what?…smoke hash with it??”
