OMG! They must be inhaling glitter.

  2. “I’m a black woman on the edge”

that was probably number 2 on my “things brownstoners will never say” after DIBS saying “i’m moving to williamsburg with my new wife betsy”

  3. >>If you can work the system, you work the system. You should know about such things.
    >>The homeless and the poor excell in working the system as well.

I see now. It is all about how well you can “work the system” or how much of an unfair share you can extract from this country while stiffing everyone else. This is not the kind of just society that I want my children to grow up in. I think we can do better than that.

NOW YOU’RE LEARNING. As far as your children, they will be a product of their upbringing.

For example, if a child’s father worked for a hedge fund, it’s up to his father to make sure he doesn’t learn just the bad things but also the good things about a long/short strategy.

  4. >>stevieb, I don’t disagree with what you are saying at all. GS are trying to revise history and say now that they would have been just fine without, but this is not the case. They needed the FDIC and FED to help them out, and conveniently had Paulson in there to help them get what they needed. It’s not rocket science to see it.

Cobble, thank you for saying this. I was starting to think that I am the only “genius” who sees the link between tax payer bailout and Gs survival.

I don’t know why more people are not outraged. Maybe when unemployment worsens again, to north of 15% nationwide, people who lose everything will rise up finally.
