  1. stevieb,

please stop playing the clown. you have been using the homeless ploy as nothing more than a gag. you’re surely one to speak.

    cobblehiller,
sure I’ve traveled extensively and not just resorts,
Africa, South America, Mexico to name a few.

you have a good life, from what I have read.
YES, THANKS TO MY HARD-WORKING PARENTS’ AND AMY OWN HARD WORK AND SACRIFICE

Why do you think everyone else has it so bad?
YOU ARE A VERY, VERY BAD READER. I DIDN’T SAY THAT. I SAID (AGAIN) THAT THERE ARE VARYING DEGREES OF POVERTY IN THIS COUNTRY.

or for that matter that everyone else is entitled to success?

NO, NOT AT ALL. EVERYONE’S SUCCESS SHOULD BE IN DIRECT RATIO TO THE WORK THEY PUT INTO BEING SUCCESSFUL.

  3. ENY and BXGRL,

the fact that we are sitting here discussing this on our computers already puts us world’s away from “poor”.

I’ll ask you both another question, not meant to offend.
Is it possible that there are people who want nothing more than to simply get by on a daily basis.
Who patently reject any idea of getting ahead, and who even if you gave it all to them, would rather go back tot their simple life?

To these folks, would your pleas on their behalf to “lift” them up to a 4 bedrooms, a job and the stress involved, be met with bemusement and a heartfelt, no thank you?

These people might be considered poor and in squalor from our perspective, but then again ,we might be considered downright nuts.

  4. >>you have a good life, from what I have read.

Legion, I am sick of the list of things you keep publishing of the “things” we have. Lets not compare ourselves to third world countries and feel good about it because we are “better”.

We are the richest, most powerful country in the world, yet the other day, I read that hunger in the country is at the highest level in 14 years. WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE???
