here’s where Jeter’s wisdom shines thru again among the top athletes – if you cant keep it in the pants, dont get marries. Jeter’s constant flings get him rep as a playboy stud vs ARod and now possibly Tiger as cheating husbands
More4Less, I admit I was wondering if the new landlord even knows what we pay in rent… but I felt evil to say that. But yeah, I have been considering your advice regarding taking these opportunities. This may push us to do something, in any case.
Also, I just looked on acris and as far as I can tell we’ve only had tco’s the entire time we’ve all lived here and the last one expired in August? I can’t figure out where the existing violations are either, it’s weird.
I think he’s absolutely right. Do you think that if you backed out of your driveway at 2:30 a.m. and hit a fire hydrant in a gated community, you’d be required to explain to the world?

No, but I’m not an internationally known figure whose success relies in part on his public image. Tiger gave up his right to expect privacy when he became a multi-millionaire sports figure and TV ad pitchman. That’s the reality. Tiger’s PR guys (if he has any) aren’t doing him any favors, either, because the coverup is always more costly than the “crime.” Tiger should simply come clean and let folks know (most of) what happened, and THEN use his “I’m human” line. The more he’s perceived to be hiding, the longer the story will live.
$175K???? Seriously??? RIDICULOUS! I agree a fine is in order, but not that large. Whaddya wanna bet that the fools who dumped the raw sewage on Adelphi St. didn’t get a fine that big?
Speaking of roasting….I need all you super cook’s help. I’m cooking up a cornish hen tonight for dinner. I found a recipe I like, but I’m wondering if it would be ok to use chicken broth instead of white whine? Here is the recipe:
* 4 Cornish game hens
* salt and pepper to taste
* 1 lemon, quartered
* 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
* 3 tablespoons olive oil
* 24 cloves garlic
* 1/3 cup white wine
* 1/3 cup low-sodium chicken broth
* 4 sprigs fresh rosemary, for garnish
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
2. Rub hens with 1 tablespoon of the olive oil. Lightly season hens with salt and pepper. Place 1 lemon wedge and 1 sprig rosemary in cavity of each hen. Arrange in a large, heavy roasting pan, and arrange garlic cloves around hens. Roast in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
3. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a mixing bowl, whisk together wine, chicken broth, and remaining 2 tablespoons of oil; pour over hens. Continue roasting about 25 minutes longer, or until hens are golden brown and juices run clear. Baste with pan juices every 10 minutes.
4. Transfer hens to a platter, pouring any cavity juices into the roasting pan. Tent hens with aluminum foil to keep warm. Transfer pan juices and garlic cloves to a medium saucepan and boil until liquids reduce to a sauce consistency, about 6 minutes. Cut hens in half lengthwise and arrange on plates. Spoon sauce and garlic around hens. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, and serve.

Ha! Dave, I’m just cooking for me and the fuzzy ones.
“That, of course, will not happen anytime soon, if ever, unless oil is discovered in Somalia.”

[Oh, good, Snappy’s distracted, so perhaps she won’t notice that I referred to her as the Imelda Marcos of the OT]
