Yes ditto…and all the cat got out of it was a 2 week stay in the hospital which I know he absolutely hated. we took him home after that and had to put him asleep two days later.
DIBS – I hear that. I once spent a fortune on trying to save a cat that I wrestled from the mouth of a pitbull where I used to live in East Williamsburg. The vets tried to save it (at the hospital on east 63rd in Manhattan) but the sinuses had been punctured and they had to put it down a week later becuase of a massive infection. I couldn’t talk about it for ages, but looking back all I ended up doing was prolonging the pain. It was a bad move, I learnt from it.
We also learned that when it’s time for them to go, you really just need to let them go instead of prolonmging their suffering for your own benefit. We learned that with the burmese when he got sick after spending an unspeakable amount of money on him at the hospital.
Sorry guys! In hindsight I didn’t mean to “go there” my emotions got the better of me.
Maybe I shouldn’t ride the train anytime soon huh? I’m afraid you’ll end up reading a headline, “Woman goes berserk and beats a gum-popper with a slimy red-bag covered monk-fish”

Oh dear, sorry to hear it THL. The little fuzz balls are so much more than ‘pets’. I’ve lost two in my life – it’s very hard.

Thanks ditto.
