I recently got a great book titled ‘Food Cures’. Sweet Potatoes are a great source of protein. They help lower cholesterol. They help reduce the risk of stomach and colon cancer. They also protect against heart disease.
Anyway, I say this cause they point out that there’s a difference between Sweet Potatoes and Yams (bad for you). I didn’t know the difference.
Hmmm…maybe it is my oven. I don’t have an oven thermometer. Perhaps I need to invest in one. This oven was brand new when I moved in (ten years ago). How long do ovens typically last before they poop out?
Snappy is an odd one with the food stuffs.

Reading the definitions, I never had a Yam.
All depends. It’s the internal thermostat that may be the problem. It thinks it’s 350 when it’s only 275.
I don’t like butter on my potatoes. Don’t hit me!
DeLepp, I’d rather eat a chocolate bar (super gross) than let gravy touch my lips!
Arkady is right, you better check on your temps. Sounds like your equipment more than the spuds.

“I hate sour cream even more than I hate gravy! I like cheese, bacon bits and scallions on my baked potatoes.”
And butter too right? I hate a dry potato.
