  1. Mornin’ folks!

Since Biffy has been slacking on his weekly CVS rant (ahem!) may I provide a Target rant today? No? TOO BAD!

Why the eff does Target sell a large sized cookie sheet (that is too big for my apt. sized oven) for $5.99 and the smaller one that actually fits in my oven is priced at $10.39???? WTF??? BASTARDS! I’M TRYING TO BE CHEAP HERE!

  2. Rob, you are right. You have to be ready to really quit – to say goodbye to your little loyal friends, breakup forever. But you can do it when you are ready. I quit 5 times before I really did it – that was a long time ago, so it worked. I did it cold turkey — was a crazed, sweaty, nauseous, eye-popping lunatic for 10 days and then it was over. Something really helped me. I read a little book by the lady who started Smokeenders – she wrote this great book (You Can Stop) about why otherwise intelligent people smoke cigarettes. Which doesn’t insult you, makes sense etc. It really helped. Anyway, the dreams sound terrifying…

  3. Arkady — I watched SS as a kid and again as a parent. They took it down an age bracket and sugar coated it. Oscar is less grouchy, Elmo talks like a four-year-old, Bert’s less mean to Ernie, and yes, as Rob said, it is far less urban and gritty. It got the full Times Square makeover.

  4. quote:
Rob – Your perceptions may have changed since you first saw Sesame St. & you now have a more sophisticated (or jaundiced) outlook on it.

no wrong. the original sesame street had graffitti and fun characters, and monsters and popcorn.

i was reading how now it’s all about tofu and yoga. literally!!! and in the ny times article they compared it with park slope. i nearly sharted my pants and illness hahah

    *rob*
