I know people/families with serious collier brother syndrome. And I do think there is genetic component.
As I get more ‘mature’ it becomes a little unnerving how much am like my mother…don’t throw so much out but at least also not a consumer/buyer of things …even little things the way I crunch up and hold a tissue in hand exactly the same.
“I told her that every mom I know has a crisis the first time they try to take the bus and the driver tells them they have to fold the stroller before they can come aboard.”
Ah, the joys of NYC public transportation!
I had a lot of fun last week going through turnstyles with 22 lbs. of squirming kid, a diaper bag, my shoulder bag, and a mclaren stroller slung on my back. Getting my wallet out of my pocket and figuring out which of my 8 metrocards had more than a 1/2 fare on it was an interesting challenge.
I’d like to hear a good explanation of how this is safer for the kid than having him restrained in the stroller and me having my hands free to focus on keeping him and the stroller under control.
Speaking of which, the mclaren’s are not really that overpriced if you live in the city and use them constantly. They are 40-85% cheaper than the bug-a-boos and peg-perego’s of the world.
Graco strollers are fine but don’t have the same combination of lightness, compactness, and durability that the mclaren’s have.
I need a good snow stroller though. I’ve got a decent walk to the kid’s daycare center and will need to traverse the spottily shoveled streets of park slope in whatever snow we get this winter.
Wheels on the mclaren are too small to handle snow, but anything with decent size wheels is too large for my taste. Maybe I’ll just put some spikes on the mclaren wheels to give me some decent traction.
So Dave, have you been watching Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew on VH1?

Are you trying to tell me something???
Actually i like Dr. Drew…didn’t know he was back on…I remember that first show he had with Adam Corolla and that waifish chick…can’t remeber the name but it was fun to watch.

I don’t swiffer. I use an old fashioned 2 1/2′ longs floor dust mop on one of those wire frames on a long handle.
When’s it on, THL???

wimp husbands in ParkSLope”
LOL!!! Remember when Rob told FSRG that, and he responded that he’d meet him in any bar in Park Slope and kick his a#s?
