Tybur6, the stadium didn’t help Yanks win. they would’ve won in their old stadium too. My Mets have highest payroll in NL and look what it got – pathetic sub-500 perf, big time choke at critical moments,…. I don’t begrudge Yanks putting big money where their big mouth is. Rather, I respect them for it. besides they paid luxury tax to rest of teams in league

How much they pay their players is secondary… though one could say the the law of diminishing returns is alive and well. Double the payroll, but still have to go to Game 6?! Maybe the Yankees *do* suck after all — takes a lot of money to counteract that! 😉
