  1. I recently saw a poll which said that 18% (yes, you heard that correctly) 18% of Americans think the Sun revolves around the Earth. I kid you not.

So basically 1 in 5 Americans are brainless.

I think the same statistics are replicated here on brownstoner.

  2. WOOOO HOOOOO!

Have I mentioned my love of Fresh Direct lately?
    I LOVE EM!

My order just came and they are running a promotion for a while where you get free produce in every order. Sitting atop my shrimp was a big ass bag of fresh green grape! HOT DAMN!

  3. snappy,
lol, there’s money in them “hockers” , Mucinex is like the number one over the counter expectorant on the market.

    biff,
didn’t know you were a Roxy Music fan. I like the new arrangement.

  4. “ok, let’s go to the voter’s themselves. exit polls in NJ showed that about 60% of the voters said it wasn’t about Obama, in VA it was about 57%. That means about 40% of the voters in NJ and 43% in VA did feel that Obama influenced their vote.”

In the U.S. it’s NEVER that cut and dry. You aren’t factoring in the percentage of people who don’t know their ass from their elbow. You can’t say that because 60% of people said it wasn’t about Obama that the remaining 40% said it was. There are ALWAYS undecideds and people who don’t know who Obama is.

You need to factor in those in the state of NJ in your numbers…

  5. “exit polls in NJ showed that about 60% of the voters said it wasn’t about Obama, in VA it was about 57%. That means about 40% of the voters in NJ and 43% in VA did feel that Obama influenced their vote.”

Were they specifically asked if their vote represented a vote against (no confidence) in Obama? Or are you just assuming that since they didn’t specify that it did?

    Big difference.

  6. “Christie stumped hard on reducing the tax burden, particularly to homeowners.”

Now, if he can actually pull this off in a state that relies HEAVILY on property taxes to balance the budget, Christie will become a virtual god in the Garden State.
