  1. “just curious, did you cross-reference how many of those people who believe the sun revolves around the earth are also believers in Gore’s global warming.
you may be surprised, the “ignorance” you speak of, hardly observes party lines.”

That would be interesting to find out, but I think you’re stretching.

I think we both know that most people who believe the Sun revolves around the earth learned this from religion who tells them that the Earth is the center of the universe.

And where did I bring up party lines? You’re getting way too defensive. There are religious people in all parties of politics. And people who look to religion before science (or reason)…yes…they do scare me. A lot.

If you DO want to talk about parties though…you don’t find it interesting that the party which speaks of small government and keeping it out of people’s lives are the same ones who want to swoop and tell people who they can and can not marry and when and when they will not have a child inside THEIR body.

Think about it. If you don’t think the majority of those people are religious, you are in denial.

  2. 11217,

somehow you’ve veered off into an argument on the uninformed electorate as a defense of your politics. sounds like you simply don’t like the democratic process. why don’t you propose a constitutional amendment to require a testing prior to voting?
Perhaps that will sway the masses in your favor.

  3. “He was surprised to learn that regular Brownstoner posters actually know one another. His first question was, “What’s the story with The What?””

I love that! What, even not here, plays a starring role in the OT! LOL!!

  4. Kens, beer always helps my creativity 🙂

By the by, I’m having a beer right now (hey, it’s 5pm somewhere, right?) and chair dancing to Fergie’s “London Bridge”

    🙂
