It’s like someone making $1MM having a $1MM mortgage. The cost to service it at 2% is $20,000, chump change.
if the markets were as concerned about these levels of debt, we would be in a much more problematic state. The market understands that 100% of GDP is no big deal.

I don’t think that has anything to do with religion…..just ignorance. I grew up in a Southern Baptist household and we never learned anything like that. I even went to Baptist school for a couple years from 4-6 grade and they didn’t teach that. It does say something like that in the Bible, but it is generally brushed off.
