  1. “Just curious. I can understand Arkady’s rationale, not wanting 4 different people on the lease for business purposes, but can a landlord really dictate, if i qualify for, and sign the lease on my own, who i can let live in the other 2 bedrooms (within reason, if i owned property i wouldn’t want my rental unit turning into a flophouse)”

Yes she can. The lease states who will be living in the apt when you sign it. You can’t just get a roommate later. But you can get married or have a child. (I see rob’s not reading this thread).

  2. CGar, we’re totally good with the manager that I deal with. She’s cool and will hook us up. If people want it there, I can help. Or we can try 11217’s suggestion. Or Ellis again. I don’t mind. As long as there’s enough space.

  3. “I don’t think that has anything to do with religion…..just ignorance. I grew up in a Southern Baptist household and we never learned anything like that. I even went to Baptist school for a couple years from 4-6 grade and they didn’t teach that. It does say something like that in the Bible, but it is generally brushed off.”

You might be right about that.

  4. “And The Bell House is owned by the same people who own Floyd NY and Union Hall and I’m used to working with them now.”

It looks good, Biff. Are we still welcome after Union Hall? 😉 According to Google Maps, it’s in Gowanus, now an officially recognized Google-hood. Good for nearby transportation.
