“when the flower is flat, will the stem be flat enough to leave it attached to the flower and put it in a regular frame? ”
Snaps, Not having seen the flower in question, my guess would be this: The flower itself will still have some thickness to it, even having been ‘pressed’. My guess is that it will be about the same thickness as the stem. As for the depth of the regular picture frame, that’s a puzzle. Some have more ‘depth’ than others, and you can use thinner backings to get a little extra depth out of it, but I’m not sure that a pressed rose will work to do that. I think the ‘shadow box’ idea is probably your better bet. But it’s worth a try to experiment a bit.
Thank you, Dave. That’s just what I thought. People really need to read the whole article – I just picked out a few highlights. Is there no end to the political correctness? At some point is the pendulum going to swing back?
if going to IKEA today you should find something there.
And stop picking up all those freebie shampoos, conditioners from hotels when traveling and you wouldn’t be in this predicament
Marty Markowitz just may be joining Sheldon Silver in the East River.
***Snappy for Mayor*** (TUESDAY!!)
Snappy, I assume the rose is from your grandmother’s funeral. That’s sweet.
ROFL Pete!
Arkady, I’m looking at Ikea’s website now and can’t find anything 🙁
Cobble, I let go of the shadow box idea because Ikea doesn’t have any 🙁
All my Ikea plans are being foiled today! HARUMPH
Snappy – Pressed tightly against the glass, the flower will last longer.
In other news: Marty Markowitz just called me, to ask me to join him in voting for Bloomie.
