  2. I’m with Kens and DH. I have a 1990 Accord. Mine only has 110,000 miles on it, but it just keeps on running. It’s the perfect city car, in that I can park it on the street (I refuse to pay $250/month for parking in my building) and not have to worry about it.

I got a great deal on it. I bought it in Jersey through a friend who owns a dealership and I only paid $4000 for it.

  3. “Pressed tightly against the glass”

I’m visualizing sex in the window of the Standard Hotel overlooking the High Line. Is this whole flower-stem discussion making anyone else think of sex???

  4. stupid question….does Marty Markowitz or any borough president actually do anything useful or has any sort of influence on serious Brooklyn issues (schools, development, zoning)? It seems like Marty is just at all the events smiling and giving speeches of how glad he is that this or that is happening but I never see his name mentioned in any articles that are about fighting for anything in particular to make Brooklyn a better place (I only see names of Mayor or community leaders).
