My company builds schools in China and requires all of their employees to have kids enrolled in schools and subsidizes programs where the factories are. They get benefits and paid time off and live a fairly decent lifestyle. They might not afford vacations BUT their kids go to school, they have healthcare and roof over their heads and they put food on the table every day.

cmu, you don’t know economic history in the US else you wouldn’t call 50% VERY high (in caps!). Prior to Reagan, the highest marginal tax was 70% and it’s been as high as 90%. But somehow we all survived.

Now everyone knows I have exposed brick and now they will see that I am awful landlord who hasn’t had heat on except for 2 days this season. He is purposely trying to humiliate me.
