One more thing on the subject of these chain restaurants.
Please spare me the hyper-happy waiters and waitresses. Please don’t write your name in crayon on the table, and pretend I’m your best friend forever. Just take my order in a polite way, and please make sure it arrives in a timely manner.
11217, could you believe it that I didn’t really enjoy it that much when I exchanged blows with Antidope last week? I didn’t change but rather good opponents are super skinny pickings. btw, I’m still thinking that dude on LXTV is you man.
So far the best red-sauce place I have found in the greater PS area is Cucina Napolitana on Columbia Street between Union and Sackett.
If you want to go futher afield, I recommend La Palina on Ave O between West 4th and 5th, in my old neighborhood. Place has been around for over 80 years.
Actually, La Palina has an interesting history. It used to be located near the Navy Yard, at which time it was a BIG mob hang-out. Since it moved to Gravesend, it’s just regular old-timers.
There’s a Macaroni grill in Philly and I thought it was way overpriced
benson, we got to go to Saraghina some night. You too, ENY.
i’ll take olive garden any day over phoney pretentious italian restaurants anyday. pasta is pasta, there’s not that much you can screw up
*rob*
You mean Olive Garden is not really Italian?? but but their chefs go to school in Tuscany and learn to pick the freshest ingredients.

“Not to change the subject but Sarah Palin got $1.25MM retainer for the book.”
Good for her, that book will be in remainders for a buck before you know it.
Actually, I just remembered..
..it’s not Olive Garden that has the bathroom Italian lesson,it’s their fierce rival, Romano’s Macaroni Grill.
Gem;
