THL, dont know if things changed per this migration to digital but in the analog days, cable would need to send someone out to change/block your service at the manhole or something like that outside of your house. for that reason, folks often file the cable feed to be still live – ie as they move into a place. cable companies were being lazy and just hoped the new resident would simply sign up for service vs sending a rep out to block svc than once again to unblock svc when new resident asks for svc

“it had to be installed on the vertical part of the peripet wall”
I also had mine and my tenant’s dishes installed on the back of the roof, hidden from street view. Dave, the only thing worse, to me, are cable wires draped down the front of the house from the roof.
When we first moved into our house we screwed the existing cable that was in the house directly to the back of the TV and we got cable channels 2-70.
Within two weeks of living there we then ordered the full cable/phone/internet package deal and have one cable box in the living room but just use the existing cables in the bedrooms where we still get channels 2-70.
Would we still get those channels if we canceled or service completely or would they be blocked? Did they just not get around to blocking the service in the first couple weeks we lived here?
I’m wondering based on Kens current situation. If he canceled could he still get the basic channels by screwing the cable directly into his set?
quote!
beef juice

*rob*
I refuse to eat it because I figure if I want beef, I’ll order beef! A bit sneaky on their part, eh?
