  1. “denton…just added these to my IRA…some are additional purchases of already owned names… Yields shown

    CHT 5.93%
    VZ 6.51%
    MRK 4.62%
    MCD 3.7%
    TLK 6.59%

    Hey dibs, thanks for the rec. Believe it or not, the only one I don’t own is MRK, I feel I’m a bit overweight in drug stocks, but I keep eying it. Maybe pick it up if the dip continues.

    In spite of the sucky markets today, a fave of mine was up 9%, MELA.

  2. gemini, it’s between 4th and 5th on one of the first named streets.. i always get those streets confused even tho i walk them to and from work everyday. it might be connected to a dentist office… i think there are two pumpkins in the window (paper)

  3. Rob;

    The Rigas is a rental building and was designed that way from the start. I agree with you that it is fugly. That building (on President off 4th Ave) was one of the catalysts that sparked the downzoning of PS. Notice how much higher it is then subsequent buildings.

  4. Snappy, we both like big butts and we both have asthma, so we are bonded, sister. Don’t sweat it. However, we must part ways on kickball and Scooby Doo. I’ll bet Scooby Doo probably PLAYED kickball!

    One of my dreams is to crash a hipster kickball game by snatching the ball (with my HANDS) and bolting off as uncoordinated kickball-playing hipsters chased me in vain (being hipsters, they could never catch a guy like me). Then I’d take the ball, find Scooby Doo, and wing one off that miserable mutt’s ASS! That would make my day. I just may do that.

  5. Scrappy Doo was cute but a bit much 🙂

    Benson, I love the Heritage because it just makes that whole street feel like a quaint little town in the midst of Brooklyn. Who designed that?

  6. Gem, I haven’t been inside the Classic. The lowest level apt has the grass backyard. I don’t like the size of those bedrooms in that place but love that backyard and the front of that building. I’m in love with very angular things!

  7. “Chows are not particularly nice dogs, nor particularly intelligent.”

    ENY, you’re here! At the risk of sounding like an overprotective “parent”, my Chow is a particularly sweet and very smart dog. I never knew they had bad reps until after I took mine in from my sister, whom I credit for doing such a great job socializing her. People stop me constantly and can’t believe she’s a Chow because she’s so friendly.
