England’s worse. At the BBC you have to have, for instance, one union guy to hang a clock on a set, a 2nd to plug it in, a third to move the hands, etc. And they time their tea breaks so each group has downtime waiting for the other crew to come back on.
You left CGar and jb out of the PLUSA counsel’s office. C’mon, you can featherbed better than that! Cobble will head up the development office and organize the fundraisers. MM is in charge of architecture and design. Wasder’s in charge of music. And kens, you are in charge of security.
I’m all for stagehands, whose skills can be learned in about 8 weeks, earning $500K a year if they hold the job for one year only and then turn it over to someone equally well-qualified and enthusiastic from the city projects. Spread the wealth around to everyone eh?
G10, if I don’t brag now about the Knicks, odds are against me as regular season hands me some serious reality check.

Joe, you can’t defend this Carnegie Hall guy’s salary like I can’t defend the payouts for the CEOs of the bailed-out banks.
The difference is bailouts = welfare

Unions used to be a good thing & a few still are but an awful lot of them nowadays are rotten. Plus rank & file doesn’t really benefit.
I don’t disagree that some people do not get paid a fair wage.
