I don’t see people who adopt from foreign countries are doing it to make themselves feel better and look good among their friends. I just don’t think they have such motives. Unless they’re celebrities of course.
Have you not watched charity adverts or documentaries on TV where they show starving orphans in countries where there is no system to save them whatsoever and where even adults die for lack of food or basic medical treatment (however bad it is here, there is a systme in place).
I can’t ascribe such vain motives to those adopting parents.

Yes, being an orphan in another country is far worse than being one in the USA, but I still have to say no to foreign adoptions.

I can understand that sentiment THL, but I wouldn’t even allow an exception for that. I’m a straight up nationalist (is that the right word in this instance?) and fully believe that we should not even consider the ills of other countries until we clean out our own closet. I admit my view is extremist, as I don’t even agree with feeding poorer countries for the simple fact that I literally trip over homeless and hungry people here.
