It’d be nice to think that the truce could be as enduring as some of the topics from last year’s pre-party postings. It *could* happen if people make an effort to be unprovocative.
Oops, Cobble/Arkady, I guess I misunderstood. I thought Arkady meant to mention PLUSAs by name to get them out. I would definitely love to have some first-timers and Forum regulars attend. I don’t hang out in the Forum much. Can you two suggest who you would consider “the regulars” there?
benson, like I said the other day, our definition of meatballs is not what is available in Italy, supporting your original statements.
I understand your concer on the origins & usage of the word “polpette.”
I just thought it very coincidental when I saw it last night at Saraghina. It was not there the week before. Additionally, they were not served with pasta like they would be here in the US.

So I guess your advertisers don’t care about us poorer folk?
Shall we set up a betting pool on this issue: How long will the PLUSA truce of October 2009 last?
Okay, anyone who makes over $100k go take the survey! Just joshin’…
Biff, we had the Non-PLUSA you’d like to meet category on the ballot! Just sayin’…
Arkady, perhaps, although people already think many of us are already being exclusionary. Are you coming tomorrow?
“I’d like to think this truce will at least last through the week.”
You are very optimistic, Snappy! 🙂

I had the tagliatelle with meat ragu.
