The Mother’s Day before my mother died, we were at a garden center together, and I bought her a hanging plant that she admired. She was very annoyed w ith me, but I refused to let her pay me back. A few months after my mother died, I was wearing my winter coat, which happened to have been at her house on Mother’s Day weekend, and I open the front pocket and there I discover 2 crumpled $5 bills. My mother had found a way to send me home with the $10 for the plant without my knowing about it – those $5 bills were the last thing she ever gave me, and they’re still in my coat pocket.

bxgirl, i think youre right about the radiators!! they were turned on last week, they were on for a night, my throat was dry, but today it’s really scratchy. personally i think the heat in NYC apartment buildings are turned on way too early in the year. people just wind up opening their windows to let the heat fly out. i like to cold, cant stand being inside if it’s over 55 even. i usually have my windows open all winter. love fresh air! but it’s such a waste of the landlords money, they really shouldnt keep buildings as hot as they do.

Anyone been redirected to a site (involuntarily) that looks to be a Verizon page and it says “due to an account problem your internet access has been temporarily stopped’? Then it asks you to log into your account ? I’ve gotten redirected to that twice and it looks very official- except for the fact thatif my service is discontinued, how the hell am I seeing that page?
