Thank you for looking, THL! Hmm, the calzone sounds YUM, but please don’t go to the trouble.
I just found one here in my ‘Baking with Julia’ book – an Alsatian Onion Tart with bacon. I think I’ll use this and add olives.
FYI, If you have had the Cavetelli with sage, brown butter and italian hot sausage at Frankie’s, and want to try to make it at home…I found a recipe that approximates it VERY well. And it’s easy. Use lots of sage.
Slope, I agree with everything you said. Even arbitration is preferable to litigation. My overall view is, as you said, that tort reform should be part of any comprehensive health care reform.
What’s your theory on how India House lasted for 25 years on 7th Ave with no customers? That place was awful. Amin isn’t so hot either, but at least they recognized that the reason India House was empty wasn’t that Slopers don’t like curry. They paved a masala road to the slope, so now we have four blah curry houses instead of one truly awful one. I guess that’s progress.
Cobble! I’m standing at the door, knocking on the glass, waving my arms here! Hel-lo?!
Thanks Arkady! I hardly ever get over to Fairway, but may need to jump on the bike and take a little spin over there!
“More than a few mothballs, Biff.”
And Karnak’s question was, “Name what one would find in the majority of Brooklyn Height’s closets”

– More than a few mouthfulls, Biff.
Okay, I need a nap.
I initially read that as: More than a few mothballs, Biff.
“Amin isn’t so hot either”
Not nice to speak ill of the dead, even Ugandan dictators.

– and you can make may dishes
But it’s October. Do you have any dishes she can make this month?
