I’m not trying to shill for Bush but to blame all of the problems on ONE man is ludicrous, lunatic fringe stuff. He does not actually control the economy in case you don’t understand that.

Still dunno but hoping to do a short trip within the next month.
I know the cash4clunkers program caused some to trade up earlier than planned but that’s exactly the point – it didn’t trigger much new unplanned consumption, just “accordianed” the demand that was already in the pipeline.
hi guys, to whom do I respectfully submit my nominations for the Asshat Awards? There’s no post with the list/email contact today! I think the deadline is tomorrow…
“GM’s september sales down 45%, Chrysler down 42%? We’re not out of the woods yet.”
I think that was to be expected given the enthusiasm over cash for clunkers. Anyone who had been waiting to buy or was thinking about it in the near future jumped on board and bought at that time.
Might be a little bit until there’s a new batch of people looking to buy.

Do we know this for sure?

And given this article, it appears that the BILLIONS of dollars spent on Bush’s tax cuts were not only a total failure, but a COMPLETE waste of money.

“Can any meaningful recover in housing be sustained in light of these unprecedented budget deficits?”
Can’t answer that. Obama and Congress have a huge job ahead of them to fix the total mess Bush caused during those 8 years.
Had Bush have stood up after 9/11 and brought this country together to do more than “shop” we wouldn’t be in nearly as much of a mess as we are now.
That event and time in our history was an immense opportunity to improve this country in extremely powerful ways, and he completely dropped the ball.
