Oy, political debate is pointless here, as it has become nationwide. Everyone marshalls their counterexamples. Has anyone convinced anyone of anything politically on this site?

And p.s. If you want to give credit to Bush for “keeping us safe for 7 years,” so far Obama has a better track record because Bush DIDN’T keep us safe from 9/11/01 and Obama just kept us safe from this:

Bush laid claim to trying to unify when, in reality, he divided. Now Obama’s trying to reach across the spectrum, not just the aisle, & the GOP has baldly stated that they want to turn his administration into a failure. You didn’t see that among the democrats.
