Oh, TownhouseLady, actually, dishes can be washed with much less water than 4 gallons. You can get away with much less but you have to do the dishes the old fashioned way: scrub them without a lot of water, but with suds of course, rinse by dipping in a wash basin and then towel drying…sends me back to my ‘I’ll wash. You dry’ childhood.
