I think the contortionist thread was really the first time it got very, very snarky. Mr. B figured he was on to something as the posting count went through the roof.
I’d like to see who was on there and who we have lost from that day.
The threads were a lot better before being infiltrated by the “Yellow Plague.”

Biffy, can I have the link to contortionist thread? This is before my time and I couldn’t find it and want to see what the whole fuss was/is about.
Biff, since you got some time on your hands could you research what happened to my youth and where it went? If you find it please apologize for me and tell it I’ll cut down on the gin.

By the way, the Open Thread was the result of another thread earlier in the day, “A Thought on Comments”
According to wasder at 10:40am, Rob was the one who first raised the idea of the Open Thread. Although if z hadn’t brought it up just before wasder, it might not have happened.
“That is a really good idea Mr B, the open thread that folks can congregate in. Rob suggested it a few weeks back and z has correctly raised it here.”
Someone remarked, “The problem is the incessant trading of juvenile quips between the same group of three or four posters”. To whom on earth could he or she have been referring???
