Hello folks. I must take a moment to apologize to anyone who may be sick right now…if you sat near me at Ratifico. I have some kind of very nasty flu 🙁 (My word, I feel like fried bum) I really hope I didn’t get anyone sick. (And if by chance you are the one who got *me* sick, a pox on all your houses! J/K)
Benson, I like your awards idea for the next PLUSA party. CobbleSnaps Productions will take the idea into consideration.
I saw that there was a proposal about a Halloween theme for the next gathering. Your discussion about Rob’s (very short) blogicide, and the upcoming first anniversary of the very first PLUSA gathering got me thinking…..
I would suggest that a more fun event might be a “PLUSA’s Choice” award ceremony, akin to the People’s Choice Awards.
Think of the possibilities for award categories:
-Most forced blogicide;
-Best rant of the year;
-Best smack-down of the year (ad hominen category)
-Best smack-down of the year (meritorious debate category)
-Longest thread with no redeeming value;
-Best Team Bear versus Team Bull thread;
-Lifetime achievement award to a poster that makes Brownstoner a good read, one way or another.
oh i must say… i ventured down into deep south slope this weekend and found SO many awesome discount stores!! i really like the stores down there much more than where i am. i went on a discount shopping spree and got so much great stuff for cheap 🙂
Arkady, glad to see you. I have two questions for the resident Ms. Grammar:
1) If referring to management of a specific Company, do you capitalize “management” in the middle of a sentence? I.e., “According to management…” or According to Management…”
2) Where do you put the period when ending a sentence with brackets? “We went to the pool (versus going to the park.)” or “We went to the pool (versus going to the park).”

Checking in, and leaving for an appointment. Carry on……
