Hi Legion:
You actually didn’t answer the question. You answered the question of how to pay for a plan to cover everyone, but you didn’t state the mechanism that you would prefer _to_ cover those who are not covered. Unless you are saying the guvment would fund those HSAs… I would have no problem with that.
Many, but admittedly not all, of the uninsured are unemployed. I believe the actual rate of people who are unemployed but looking plus those who are unemployed but have given up is in the 16% range.
I’m not convinced that tort reform will reduce health care costs (altho I am in favor of it). There’s nothing that will force them to pass the savings along, it may just go into the pockets of the system. I see that all the time in mfg; I get something in that used to be made here, all of a sudden it’s made in Mexico. When I call up the big companies to ask why my price hasn’t decreased, I get the same old line of BS about ‘being competitive’, but I don’t get the savings, they do.
I’m not convinced about the waste and fraud either. Every politician gets elected on the same platform, nothing ever happens.
But it is refreshing to see conservatives such as yourself, and John McCain (who I used to like pre-Palin) finally agree that there should be some form of health coverage for every American. That is a recent turn of events.

How small does a mandoline slice things? And is it labor intensive?
Hear about the basketball player who was supposed to shoot but only dribbled? He was all air balls.
Oh, thanks CG. With that one I may not have to cut at all. I just may have to get one of those.
I have one of those circular food choppers, I really only use it when I make fried potatoes.
CG…I’m trying to be super duper lazy…don’t want to cut the potato even once! Maybe I should just give in and by new and better knives.
Do you mean like a mandoline? I’m kinda off them after I bought one and ended up cutting the veggies by hand.
snappy, use this!
