I’ve never understood leather furniture. But then again, with cats, it’s a dangerous prospect anyway. I just picture hot summer days when you wind up sticking to the darn things!
benson- the exact line was “help the President” not help President Obama. It was a generic line and had Bush used it, you wouldn’t have said boo! And a reading of the speech and everything associated with it shows no political bias whatsoever.
C’hiller- i agree, The level of hysteria is frightening. When people bring arms (legal or not) to a Town Hall meeting where the President will be, we have seriously lost all semblance of common sense. When one party actively encourages disrespecting the President’s Office (he’s no longer the POTUS, but the head Democrat) we are seriously close to inciting violence and the undermining our entire country and the principles it was founded on. We may have hated Bush but no one was proposing to actively work to destroy everything he wants to accomplish. We don’t think like a country anymore. We think like a bunch of immature brats in a playground.
DH, considering you seem to like the nicer restaurants and lounges / fancy bars, my guess is that Seattle would be more your speed. Portland is MEGA crunchy granola. I mean to the point where it’s funny.
