benson – please don’t tell me you take Ann COulter seriously? The woman said we Jews need to be “perfected” by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian. Even FoxNews called her a “slash and burn” journalist (using the word journalist loosely, I am sure).
Bill Maher and Ann Coulter are two sides of the same coin, which is why they agreed to that “debate”.
Neither has an interest in real intellectual debates, or explorations. They are more interested in creating controversy to garner ratings. They view their positions as a means to an end.
To put it in a sports analogy: they belong to the WWF.
I am so ambivalent about Bill Maher. I think he’s brilliantly sarcastic but sometimes he does that at the cost of his guest being able to say something. I really want to see the interaction between him and his guests but sometimes I get the feeling they are just there to play second banana.
I love Bill Maher too.
I was really disappointed when Dennis Miller did a 180 and joined the Dark Side. I read a couple of his books that he wrote years ago and was impressed. Now I can’t stand him.

Ann Coulter is a MORON. I saw her debate Bill Maher recently, and she couldn’t even pretend to keep up.
