It’s called a neutron bomb. It’s actually quite destructive, but much more energy goes into a neutron burst than into blast. But it messes up structures pretty good. It’s funny, I was actually reading up last night on the history and design of nuclear weapons.
And the powers that be definitely think ahead. There are a lot of serious, intelligent people who have put real thought into our nuclear strategy over the years.
I understand that lechacal. I just wonder if the powers that be ever think further ahead than dinner next week. The Soviets perfected a nuclear weapon (I forget what it was actually called) that killed people but left the buildings standing and I’m thinking to myself- could there be a more useless weapon? Like- who’s going to use the bathroom in one of those buildings, let alone be left alive to use them?

That’s why I rarely engage in political arguements. There is such a tendency nowadays to villify “the other side” Does anyone really think that anyone in politics actually wants to hurt anyone individually or the country as a whole? They are just doing what they think is right, and best. Doesn’t always work out the way they intended though.
