Oops, no, she’s a woman. Also makes abstract compositions out of old fly swatters and other household objects. Kind of like Jonathan Borofsky, if anyone remembers him.
Geez, I was getting ready to joke with BxGrl about her cat’s hairball, and whether or not said laundry was clean or dirty when you posted the sad story. Sounds terrible. I probably would have been weeping while watching from my window.
And really, I still can’t believe that we just witnessed the first completely successful ditching of a large passenger jet ever. I can’t move past it. I’m having dreams about it.
On a much lighter note, those with fabric stashes, especially lace: In the early 90s I accidentally stumbled on an exhibit in Paris by artist Macha Makeieff that made amazing use of odds and ends such as buttons, ribbons, and lace. All she did was make abstract compositions with her odds and ends like paintings and frame them. It sounds horrible, but the effect was surprisingly beautiful. Also kind of emotionally effective — maybe it was the oldness and oddness of some of the bits.
What, did you make any new year’s resolutions? I am curious to know how your house is decorated.

Oops I mean “he.” I think Macha is a man.
OMG, that is a hideous story, DIBS.
