MM – glad to hear the problem is getting fixed. Get your ‘sainted tenant’ off of Mr. Laptop so she can help you with the rest of the clean up. She is expecting a meal for her lame attempt at appearing useful in the dungeon.
Update-plumber unearthed leak in joint in pipe behind sheetrock in laundry room. Attempting to fix now. Amazing such a small pipe could leak that much water in so short a time. In middle of basement clean-up. Waterlogged sacrificed junk fabric sure is heavy. Wetvac and dehumidifier making short work of lake.
I’m jealous dittoburg. That must have been so much fun! No- I was bailing water with a friend and mourning the death of Mr. Desktop. Thank heavens for Mr. Laptop but what a lousy way to begin the new year. Won’t be able to buy a new computer for a long time either. And to add insult to injury, the cat presented a hairball in the laundry basket. there is no mercy.
Nah- I well know the sainted tenant who not only championed turning the water off but also the electrical and furnace just in case. Besides aforementioned sainted tenant will be fed a good dinner courtesy of Landlord angst 🙂
dylanfan- I started out as a quilter and soft sculptor years ago. Still love it but don’t quilt anymore. I bet MM would be happy to give you pieces- I know she asked last week on the forum where she could donate. We’re talking fabulous fabric btw. I have lots of antique lace should you ever need.
Sigh. Sorry to hear about the burst pipe, Montrose. A lot of people have had that problem these last few days, judging by the postings. Hope the plumber arrives soon.

So there’s some good news MM!

The sledding was pretty good in Prospect Park this weekend.

Worry not, Benson. Mrs. Butterworth tells me she’s sweet on you.

Cobble is slipping out of her robe right now and is about to get in.
