Ellen next and then an hour of Judge Judy. My new Marine friend just left. He doesn’t understand this brownstoner blogging and I don’t have any video games for him.
I’m eating a peanut butter sandwich on Wonder bread with potato chips right now. That should be better for my colon than any of this newfangled, high falutin crap. Also watching Roll Bounce on MTV for my mind’s colonic.
I would be very leary of any colon cleanse products, even the ones that claim they’re ‘herbal’. Your best bet is to eat healthy (as I chomp on chocolate).
If you really want a quick fix, get a colonic (internal water bath).
Another way to detox is by soaking in a very very very hot tub with Epsom Salt. It’s also great for Chronic Back Pain and stiff muscles/joints, etc.
Fill up the tub half way with warm water and Epsom Salt, get in and turn water to very hot, so your body adjusts gradually to the temperature. Make sure it’s as hot as you can take it, soak for 30 minutes. You will sweat.
Keep a cold compress nearby and use on your forehead as needed. Also, keep a cold glass of water and drink occasionally. Do it when someone is home with you, just in case, you do get light headed.
I’ve taken very hot salt baths that when I’ve gotten out, I was very de-hydrated and almost passed out, but my back/body felt great.
Funny, I didn’t see anyone above speak of colons and poo, BRG, just you. Kind of a gentrified version of the What’s talk if you ask me. Where are your boyfriends, Biff and christopher???
I thought I’d be putting my day off to more useful activity but, alas, here I am!!!!!

‘You have no idea how badly I want a soaking tub, especially in winter.’

DIBS, sorry, for my detox reference above, then. GOD, I def. don’t want to be compared to the ‘What’ in any gentrified form.
btw – Sorry, I have no boyfriends that you can reference.
Here’s the SNL Colon Blow commercial with Phil Hartman (miss him!).
