I’ve seen that series Snappy. I’m also aware of the Hearst connection, and that cocaine was once legal and widely available in consumer products in this country.
If the government were serious about such things, cigarettes and alcohol would land your @ss in jail the same way crack and meth does. The fact that that doesn’t happen speaks volumes.
Marijuana is illegal simply for the reason that hemp competed very effectively on price with timber for paper production and William randolph Hearst owned most of the US timberland back then and backed the movement against marijuana.
A very run on sentence but now you know the history.
